Do you need to sign a contract prior to having a building and Pest Inspection carried out, the answer is no you do not, a building and pest inspection can be carried out at any stage all that is required is a agreeable time for all parties concerned , in my professional opinion most homes have minor maintenance and upkeep issues such as cleaning of the gutters, keeping clean drainage plumbing system, storage of timbers under the home is quite a problem it’s like sending an invitation for a termite party at your place, with most property’s as a potential purchaser your concerns should be with major structural issues, and this is where having a building and Pest inspection carried out prior to purchase or singing of a contract is very important, we all want to know what were buying including real estate agents solicitors tradies, no one is excluded. I have been asked regularly why I don’t do pest inspections I am not prepared to compromise my high standard of inspection just to gain a few dollars more.
